Heard some lyrics this weekend that reminded me of our current government. I know Leader Cody is a big music buff...so I thought we could help him brainstorm...join me won't you?
Song: I Alone / Artist: Live / Album: Throwing Copper
Lyrics in Chorus:" I alone love you, I alone tempt you, I alone love you, FEAR is not the end of this" (repeat)

In my neck of the woods we get a notice from the local government between Christmas and New Years every year. It's the notice that I'm a tennant and the government is expecting my rent very soon. I don't have a contract to rent the land, mind you, but the notice comes just the same. I may improve the land here as I see fit (after I purchase permissions to do so) but I can expect my rent to increase accordingly. The good news is, this notice will come every year, and if I don't pay it, I'll be evicted. There's no way that I can pre-pay this debt, or expect to expire it.
I call it rent, you might know it as a real-estate tax. My rate is 47%. I won't go into the credits that the elderly get and how that's age discrimination in the law, THEY COUNT ON THOSE BREAKS! I am to enjoy paying my 47% rate of taxation for the privelige of staying on this plot of the State's land for another 12 months. My friends and neighbors don't know this joy as they allow the bank to collect this payment thru their mortgage annually. Those who have paid off their mortgage get no public sympathy, those wealthy jerks should be taxed until I'm wealthy. Regardless of the housing meltdown, my rent did not decrease this year, and I can't assume that it will. (When has government done with less? The truely safe jobs, are government jobs, you know.)
Where and when did the concept of individual ownership die? What generation understood history so poorly as to allow the nose of government under the tent of the people? Will revolution only come when The People are driven to desolation? Have The People lost the true religion of Unalienable Rights given by our Creator? Are children even taught that this philosophy once existed?
